A six-session program for parents and carers of children 12 and under to ‘tune in’ with their kids and learn how to respond in a healthy way to their emotions.
This program helps parents and carers of children 12 and under to improve communication and connection with their kids.
Our experienced facilitators work with small groups. With other parents, you will learn how to use the practical skills of emotion coaching to help your children regulate and manage behaviours. These skills help your child respond to others in socially appropriate ways.
This program is designed to help you:
- Learn how brain development impacts your child’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour
- Build emotion coaching skills
- Understand how our own emotions impact how we parent
- Learn effective ways to respond to and validate the range of your child’s emotions
- Get tips on how to be more mindful in your parenting approach
- Gain confidence in parenting, and understand your parenting style.
A Zoom video link will be sent to registered parents via email before program commences. You can then access this link using either an iPhone or laptop. Very user friendly and simple!
